One of those who practiced without fear was Michbeth, but he disappeared around the time of the Sundering, but there are those who still say he is seen to this day. Albeit not a wizard, Grief could perform impressive feats of the Arts. I am sure both Tonbee the Tall and Thyri Giant-Slayer would both claim the mantle, but others say that the axe of Landgraf Gomgnur is the most fearsome blade one could have ever met. | I am sure both Tonbee the Tall and Thyri Giant-Slayer would both claim the mantle, but others say that the axe of Landgraf Gomgnur is the most fearsome blade one could have ever met. |

Some will say if she survives, the Witch Queen of the Hinterlands likely has the most treasures from bygone times, but will only invoke her name in whispers lest she hear her name spoken. | Some will say if she survives, the Witch Queen likely has the most treasures from bygone times, but will only invoke her name in whispers lest she hear her name spoken. |

People are flocking to the encampment, so I suspect you can find some loitering down near the dock or outside the The Orc and Pie. The Baron's men are everywhere, so camp is safe enough. Nonetheless, pretty much everyone carries weapons since the camp feels a little... exposed? Not long after Baron Aelfric and his men arrived here they fought with a beastly spider larger than a horse that they found had taken up residence in the inn when they first explored its ramshackle frame. Its strong bite and poison claimed several souls and it crawled down the well where the marketplace stands now, but since it has not been seen it is assumed that it crawled out of the well and back to whatever Hell it came from... but we would all surely appreciate knowing it had been put to rest once and for all!

Oh yes, in late winter two horrible beasts came into camp late one evening and proceeded to cause havoc. Many blades slashed the beasts but it seemed that their wounds sealed themselves and many men fell. They returned again two weeks later and carried off two men and the last two sheep that the inn had. If you could take care of that, you'd be pretty well known, that's for sure!

There is a woman in white that roams the beach some nights, but not a soul knows where she hails from. If you approach her and hear her scream you are done for! In fact, the very barge you came in on had an entire crew and compliment that were lost to the her not a month ago!

There's been something seen in the skies about four days' journey by foot to the northwest beyond an abandoned tower. Rumor has it that it's a dragon but no one can say for sure. A shabby group of ne'er-do-wells came in from Dunfalcon to find the beast but have never returned.

Legend says The Black Goat dwelt in the forests on this part of the Tears, and some strange things have definitely been seen to the southwest in Mistelm.

During the Chaos Wars and the Sundering a great number of religious relics and artifacts were lost; finding those would be a boon and probably fetch high prices. Also, it is said that those the Great Church opposed had an immense amount of powerful magic, much in the form of weapons, armor and other items at their disposal.
